  • Native AWS integration — IAM, VPC, autoscaling — and AgentCore Identity treats an agent as a first-class principal. DVARA has no agent identity object.
  • AgentCore’s temporal policies give deterministic control over sequences of agent actions. Every policy DVARA evaluates is scoped to a single request; our loop detection is a tripwire, not a policy language.
  • Guardrails compose into the authorization decision as Cedar policy rather than running as a separate filter stage.

AWS Bedrock has broadened its provider story — Claude is native and OpenAI is now reachable inside the Bedrock surface. It remains an excellent choice if your stack lives entirely on AWS. The moment you need cloud-neutral routing across Azure, GCP, or self-hosted models, on-prem deployment, MCP tool governance, or policy enforcement that travels with the workload, DVARA is the broader fit.
