Free to develop on; licensed for production.

Develop and test on DVARA for free, self-hosted in your own VPC, cloud, or on-prem — no sign-up, no credit card. Running it in production takes a commercial licence, sized by request volume.

Not sure which edition you are running? The editions guide spells out exactly what ships in each image and how a licence is applied.

Which one are you?

Most teams start on the free Developer path and move to a Production licence when the first workflow goes live. Managed hosting is for teams that want the licensed platform without operating the cluster themselves.

Compared across deployment, licence, governance scope, and commercial terms. Self-serve DVARA Cloud is not a column here because it is not available yet.

Common questions about DVARA pricing

Is the Developer tier really free?

Yes. Self-hosted, no sign-up, no credit card, no expiry and no feature gate — in development and in production alike. What a licence adds is the MCP and A2A governance planes, an SLA and a support contract.

What does a licence add?

The MCP and A2A governance planes, an SLA and a support contract. The LLM Gateway itself is free to run, production included — the paid boundary is support and the other two planes, never a feature gate on the gateway.

How much does a Production licence cost?

Pricing comes from a conversation rather than a public table. A licence is sized by request volume, and going over that volume does not stop your traffic — it starts a conversation about resizing, not a cut-off.

Can I evaluate the full platform before buying?

Yes. A 30-day trial licence unlocks every feature on your own self-hosted install, so you evaluate against your own traffic. It is requested rather than self-serve: book a slot, or email support@dvarahq.com.

Does DVARA phone home to check my licence?

No. Entitlement is a signed licence envelope validated locally — no callback, no revocation list, no required telemetry. That is what makes it usable in air-gapped and strict data-residency environments.

What is the difference between self-managed, managed hosting, and DVARA Cloud?

Self-managed means you run and operate DVARA in your own infrastructure, free to run yourself, with a licence when you need the MCP and A2A planes and support. Managed hosting means we run a dedicated cluster for you, arranged through sales. Self-serve DVARA Cloud is not available yet.
